I'm frightened that the Pit bull desires a unique type of operator...these dogs, no matter how 'adoring' nevertheless have teeth, are still creatures not having moral principles and if they DO bite, won't allow go. As in all animals...some have a tendency to be far more suseptable to instinctual habits and time and time again, this breed tends to complete just that.

For me Twitter and Facebook are totally different things. And your question whether we actually want to connect with people we don’t know, I would say it depends what social media platform you are using. For me Fasebook is only for my friends i know in real life, i don't accept any request from people I don't know. However I use my Twitter to get to know people i haven't meet, i use it for my degree and other professionals i would like to follow and know what they think. Twitter doesn't have that personal relationship like Facebook, which for me has no problem connecting with people i don't know.

Babusha
I think that with the convergence of social media and public relations it would make sense for PR people developing their skills to have knowledge of what goes into mobile technologies and applications.

This seems like a brilliant idea. I am a Public Relations student and would love to try it out, because I certainly am not one of those who dismantle hard drives for fun, but this would be exploring our creative side for the sake of technology.

I think Guerrilla marketing is becoming more popular for organisations as it creates conversation and relationships between their consumers and not simply between organisation-consumer.
It stimulates discussion and generates positive (most of the time) publicity as it seems as though organisations are willing to go one step further for their consumers.
It's a fantastic use of creativity.

I certainly agree that the PR practitioner has a lot to contend with regards to technological advancements. Even the simplest of things in every day life are updated in rapid succession 1st digital tv, then HD now it seems 3D is the way we are headed. For someone to keep up with the every day changes and then be expected to role with the new advances in a working environment certainly seems like a lot of pressure. But I guess in a society that are always competing that one must just have to deal with this and learn.
