		<description>Some ill-conceived ideas and comments that culminated in that Evening Standard story on "moral decline". It would take nothing more than a cursory reading of history - for example, London in Hogarth's time - to know that there is nothing "exceptional" about the UK's current "moral decline".
But from the tone of the few readers' comments there are, it looks like Browne's line feeds well into the psyche of the Evening Standard readership, though perhaps not the rest of the London or the country.</description>
